On the 8th June I attended the Blogosphere Awards, it was the second blog awards I have attended and it was pleasant evening. The dress code was formal so the pressure was on!
As soon as my ticket was confirmed I started hunting for the perfect dress, I have been dieting for a few months now and I have got to a point wear I’m starting to feel more confident and I wanted to wear a dress that showed my hard work off. After weeks of looking around I settled with a stunning grey bardot dress with black lace detail on the bottom from AX Paris.
I originally had a pair of two piece heels in grey with a floral pattern lined up to wear with the dress but when they arrived they were almost a size too big, so I went for my black barley there’s from Primark, they are incredibly comfy and the heels not too high.
Getting ready for a formal event takes some prep, a week before the blogosphere awards I purchased a foot mask from primark for 3.50 from their new Korean beauty range. The idea of the foot mask is that you wear the mask for 40 minutes, after the 40 mins you rinse off the serum and then over the next few days the dry skin on your feet will peel off, sounds gross but I was left with baby soft feet!
I have very pale skin and wanted to add a bit colour! so I used St Tropez’s in shower gradual tan in medium, I’ve been using this for a while now so I’m confident in it’s streak free finish.
Skins glowing so next was my hair, after using my normal Shampoo I used my fav go to hair mask from garnier ultimate blends argan oil to add softness and shine to my hair.
Another product I have been using in the run up to the awards was Blanx Pure White Pro as a coffee and red wine drinker and smoker (i know, i know) I need something to help bring my teeth back to their natural white shade and Blanx does the perfect job.
Let’s move onto my make up, I wanted to go with a smokey eye look to match the smoke grey colour of my dress, to finish off the smokey eye look I finished the look off with Ardell Demi wispies eyelashes. Eyes done I continued with the many layers of foundation, contour and highlight and completed the look with a bold matte red lipstick from Jelly Pong pong
I had a fabulous time at the blogosphere awards, I now need another excuse to wear the beautiful dress again!
