I’m not going to go in depth about the royal wedding as there are far to many opposing opinions and politics attached to the matter.
When Prince Harry’s relationship with American actress, Meghan Markle, surfaced let’s face it, was it all too surprising? The former wild child Prince who rebelled against Royal formalities. He is my favourite royal as he is more relatable and since he kept the beard, certainly my #mcm
Prince Harry is the royal with the fun factor that also is very beloved due to his resemblance in character to his late mother, Diana.
I’ve been reading all the news reports and articles and I must admit as much as I love the royals, I just can’t wait for it all to be over. The British media in my eyes have just absolutely destroyed such a historic event, poor Meghan has had every inch of her life dragged through the media for the public to criticise. I agree with Piers Morgan’s statement that her family are indeed vultures, haven’t spoken to her in years yet are very happy to earn money of the back of her happiness.
There is a huge disagreement about Meghan’s decision to have Prince Charles walk her down the aisle in the absence of her father. Some are saying ,being the feminist she is, her mother should walk her down the aisle, others are of the same opinion but with the reasoning that there are those without fathers to walk them down the aisle and she should represent that. In my opinion, behind closed doors we have no idea what kind of relationship she has with Charles and she may indeed just want a traditional wedding and the next thing she has to a father figure is her future father in law, Prince Charles.
Initially upon the engagement, the little old British lady inside me grumbled at the thought of an American actress marrying into our beloved royal family, but the young and level head on my shoulders believe that Prince Harry has fallen in love with an incredible and beautiful woman who will not just stand pretty by his side but will work as a team with him to make a difference in the world.
I wish them both a lifetime of Love and happiness.
