How to get a bikini body…

….Put a bikini on your body.

Have you ever seen those meme’s or statuses that only “a real woman” has to look certain way such as being curvy, being big chested or having big butts? I want to crush these statements by saying in my eyes a real woman is whatever shape and size they want to be and can damn well wear whatever they want! The only perfect body is the one that you are happy and healthy in.

I have always suffered with anxiety with my image, until I was 25 I alway believed I was obese when really I have always been slightly underweight, when I was 18 I was 7 stone and still believed that I was fat. At 25 I was diagnosed with severe depression and Retinal Migraines which meant I had to go onto take a lot of medication which weight gain was a side effect and I went from a size 6 to a 16. Last year I made the decision to come off all medication and to learn how to manage the depression and migraines without medical aid, and so far so good! In a year I have managed to drop from a size 16 to a size 10/12 and I am now starting to feel happy with my body.

On the 12th May I’m heading out for a short break to Medina Sidonia in Spain, and I have been fortunate to collaborate with Hunkemöller again but this time I’m trying out their push up bikinis! I selected a navy blue set that had little gold attachments on the straps and a small gold disc in the centre with Hunkemöller’s logo.

The push up bikini makes me feel incredibly good about my body, the fit is perfect in the above image I am wearing a 34D top with the bottoms in Medium.

Bikini Details;

Clean tailored push up top – £30

Clean tailored matching bottoms – £15

Remember no matter what shape or size you are, you will always be bikini ready!!

  1. Wonderful post! Such a great look at this topic. I shall keep this in mind when I start being negative about my own appearance over the summer x
